Comments: JR Insulation responded quickly to my inquiry, showed up and gave a couple of estimates based on the level of work that needed to be completed. It was priced exactly as I would expect and I appreciate the guidance on setting up expectations on what next steps needed to be taken, for example...once the drywall work is done, painting still needs to be completed and is not included. It was fair to call it out separately and I appreciate that clarification. The workers were fast and fantastic...the work is perfect. No complaints and literally, no clean up necessary by me. I REALLY appreciate that!

Comments: Price-wise they were cheapest by far- I had other bids 3x the cost. Much more importantly, they did superb work repairing sheetrock holes made by repiping the whole house, and texturing and painting. You cannot tell the repaired areas from others. Unlike other bids, they textured entire walls, not just the repaired area, so it would blend in better. And it does!

Comments: I hired JR to come and complete my kitchen ceiling framing, drywall and texture. The original job had some mistakes but after some back and forth JR and I came to a resolution. In one day two guys replaced a 11 foot X 11 foot water damaged section of ceiling, scraped off the remaining texture of the room. Since the kitchen ceiling was part of damaged section, it too had to be treated as part of the project. The project turned into a complete finish job of one big room. Great job JR.

Comments: I would love to give JR a higher recommendation. My biggest struggle was communication. I set an appointment (that was rescheduled by JR and miscommunicated twice) for what I expressed as an ?estimate? visit. Two guys showed up and only one could efficiently communicate in English. I asked multiple times for the cost of the project and was told the owner would call me shortly. Before I spoke with the owner, they began working on the wall needing to be repaired. I expected only an estimate for the appointment, not the actual work to begin. I was able to clear my schedule so they could stay and get the job done. I did eventually speak to the owner about 30 minutes before it was complete. All that to say, the work was really good, they cleaned up, and the cost was fair. It all worked out, but the communication struggles were too much for me to recommend and re-hire.

Comments: I hired Javier and his team to tape and texture the entire downstairs of my home after a complete remodel. I'm a contractor and have been in the trades for over 20 years. Don't waste your time or effort considering any other contractors for this scope of work. These guys are Pro's and top craftsman in their trade. I tried to pick apart their quality of work and simply couldn't find any deficiencies in workmanship. Even the smallest of details were addressed that most other contractors don't make the time to perform. I also had the blown-in insulation addressed in my attic. Not only did they do an outstanding job, they also touched up the entire attic free of charge. I didn't even ask them to do it, they simply took care of it. The final product produced on my project is absolutely flawless and JR drywall has more than exceeded expectations. Thank you Javier, Fernando, and the entire JR team. Felipe and his helper (young) Javier came out right away and did a great job. We appreciated them putting down plastic on the floor from the front door and into the bedroom to keep the floor clean as well as their clean-up afterwards. They almost didn't show up for the estimate and then called me several times while at work and not once tried my husband's cell phone; that I had given in the email (that they requested) that expressed he would be primary contact that day. I can't answer my phone at work and despite my requests for emails and texts they still called. Ultimately the job got done and within a much quicker time frame. They were the only folks to call us back and they did not tell us the job was too small and refuse to do it. So. Those 2 things outweigh the communication issues we had and I'm pleased with the job they did and their respect for our home and time.

I also needed insulation replaced following water damage to the home that affected the existing insulation and had to be removed. They had a crew of 5 come out for 1 day and did everything for us. Comments: Javier and his crew did an outstanding job removing painted over popcorn textured ceilings, skim coating the resulting bare dry-wall and finally applying a knocked down orange peel texture over the new skim coat. While we applied the plastic sheeting over the floors and walls, Javier reinforced our work, resulting in a much less dusty house outside of the two large rooms and entry way that he took care of. Additionally, his crew repaired an improperly installed drywall ceiling panel that was readily apparent with the popcorn texture removed, repaired/patched poorly installed drywall openings around overhead light fixture boxes, and calked gaps at drywall panel seams that were uncovered in the course of their work. These "extras" Javier considered part of his job as a professional and didn't want to charge us for them! He and his crew were hard working, honest and meticulous with the agreed upon tasks, with the things they found that needed fixing and with their clean up! I highly recommend JR Drywall and will use them again!

Comments: I had JR drywall a single room 12x16 that was demo'd to the studs and insulated by me. The work itself was great overall. I didn't give 5 stars all across because the crew didn't protect the rest of the house from the dust when the windows and doors were trimmed and they didn't clean up the dust as well as I thought they would or could. Also, I was never sure if JR fully understood me because of the language thing. That being said I would use JR on my next project and only get one other estimate to make sure costs were in line. They were on time once the day was finalized. They did the work quickly. A day and a half to hang tape, mud and texture. Hire them and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Comments: They came Saturday morning and got busy. The three guys worked non stop. Finishing in about 4 hours time. The ceiling looks amazing. The only mistake is one I made. I had them remove the popcorn ceiling and do a brocade finish. It was my job to paint the ceiling so I had them leave all the plastic. This was a big mess to clean up. The other was a crack that extended from a beam in the ceiling down about 2 feet. Javier was honest with me about the fact that a repair to the ceiling might show and so I decided not to have that work done at this time.
